My personal favourite anime of all time is Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann.

I love the visual style and how it changes all the time, and of course I love how they GO BEYOND THE IMPOSSIBLE AND KICK REASON TO THE CURB!

Favourite is still the Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex series. The tech is sweet, the animation is slick and beautiful, and there is character progression for everyone! Yay! Plus, its the only series where they show just how crap swords are against guns. Very Happy

Followed (very) closely by Darker than BLACK, because its superpowered people, but different! Its story is also amazingly cool.

Cant honestly pick anyone anime from all the ones I have watched :/
But if I have to choose I would have to say either Elfin Lied or Code Geass.
Code Geass for an incredible storyline, beautiful animation, growing + interesting characters and really cool mechs Razz
Elfin Lied also earns points for storyline, animation and the characters but also earns points for bloodiness and containing my favorite chick in all anime. All hail psycho Lucy.

I really can't decide on a single favourite but I have quite a number of favourites. Let see there's Code Geass, Naruto, School Rumble(lol) and Darker than Black. I have a bigger list than this but I can't seem to remember them all except these ones.

Darker than Black and Code Geass I just love the animation and story behind while with the latter the mechs are pretty awesome, especially Kallen's Guren MK II (the pilot is pretty awesome as well). With Naruto I've always been a fan of ninjas so its a natural given and I also like Sasuke (despite mass protest). School Rumble just made me laugh silly and I really like a good laugh so it found a place in my heart, somewhere.

Oh just remembered, Needless is pretty cool too, especially Blade, you can never really tell if he is a good guy or bad guy.

Favorite of all time is One Piece hands down, no anime has kept me in suspence for the next episode to be released for so long and the fact it is still going on strongly earns it even more mention. Also no anime that is still ongoing has kept me watching this long (I lost interest in Naruto around 240 and Bleach around 190), where One Piece is currently on 422. Plus there's pirates, whats not to like?

Second would be Vandread for an epic story with great humor and very surprising animation for it's time. I don't think anywhere else you can see a clash between male and females of this magnitude. Plus I had a thing for Dita. :3

Third is a tie between Elfen Lied and To-Love-Ru. The first having blood, gore and an extremly hot girl - it could only be better if it was set on fire. The story was also good and had a great concept and had good emotional factors.
Where as the latter has extreme comedy, many beautiful girls ranging from cyborgs, aliens, bio-experiments and so forth in full etchi and harem parade the plot was often missed entirely in the episodes but that just added to the humor.
Both hold this place mostly because Lucy and Lala are to-die-for...

Fourth would be Soul Eater for giving me a very "Kingom Hearts" vibe with its animation and having good combination of humor and action. The characters were all colorful and full of life.

Other mentionable anime: Detroit Metal City, Green Green, School Rumble, Needless, Karin and Zero no Tsukaimi.
